Which personal data does AEON Malaysia collect from you?

AEON Malaysia collects several categories of personal data when you make use of the AEON Stamps:

  • App usage data: loyalty card number; number of stamps; type of telephone (including platform and operating system type and version; unique device identifier; operational system and version; language settings; app version on device, date of app installation; date of app registration.
  • Survey data: If you chose to participate in a survey; loyalty card number and feedback on impact of the loyalty programme. We receive several categories of personal data directly from you, as well as from third parties in so far as permitted by law.

Personal data directly provided by and about you

  • Personal data that you provide when creating an account and/or other information which you enter or provide through the use of the app: your loyalty card number, the number of stamps you have in balance;
  • Personal data that you provide as a result of your surfing behaviour within the app: type of telephone you use; your unique device identifier; your operational system and version; your language settings; the date of your app installation and date of app registration. Also, if you chose to take part in a survey, your loyalty card number and the answers you give in response will be provided.

AEON Malaysia collects and processes your personal data to make it possible for you to make use of AEON Stamps, for instance to easily collect and use your stamps digitally, check your balance, receive general updates on your stamp balance as well having options such as to participate in our survey on the loyalty programme. In addition, AEON Malaysia uses the data in a pseudonymous or anonymous form for service, improvement and reporting purposes, general statistical and analytical purposes. Your personal data will be removed 12 months after the end of the loyalty promotion.
